When Helen Kummer first contacted me for a basenji female, I was about to leave for
the Basenji National in Washington 1989, where Mickey was shown
Helen and I agreed I came to Switzerland with Gwendolyn upon my return and this we did

It was in December of 1989, Gwendolyn and I set off to see her new home
We both liked Gwendolyn's new family, not to mention Switzerland, so I was not too sad
to leave Gwendolyn behind, as I knew she would be loved and cared for

5 years later I returned to visit and in connection with the World Dog show held in Bern and had with me Fallohide Mighty Mouse, who was entered for the Worlddog Show.
Mighty, Gwendolyn and Fritz Kummer got on very well indeed, however Mighty did come home with me

Gwendolyn became the foundation bitch of LADY GWENDOLYN VON LUXOR kennel. Helen bred only one litter in 1992
where LADY GWENDOLYN VON LUXOR Arina became the foundation bitch to Ejengi's kennels in Germany.
In this kennel was in 1996 born Ejengi's Aschanti, who became the foundation bitch to kennel Mutabaruga also in Germany
Afra became the foundation bitch to vom Schensi kennels in Switzerland

20 plus years after Gwendolyn had har first and only litter her progeny lives on - this gives me great happiness, as it shows I did something right, or rather Gwendolyn did and her owner,
Mrs. Helen Kummer. I shall always remember Helen and her husband, Fritz, with great foundness. I delivered Gwendoly to them and a few years later, visited in connection with the World dogshow
held in Bern - Sadly Fritz is not with us anymore, so these memories are very special and I am thankful for all their kindness and wisdom, as they made me
believe that there are good people out there in this sometimes crazy World - you just have to believe ...
